A Gathering Place

Jun 20, 2014 | 0 comments

Our staff recently created acrylic plaques for each building on our Care Center campus and we want to share each one with you! We are starting with Seth’s Social Center (and if you haven’t read Seth’s story, you should!) since it is not only right in the middle of not only our campus but in the lives of our kids as well.

Having an outdoor space to play and dance and talk is an integral part of Ghanaian culture. So when Seth’s Social Center was completed, the children and staff of our Care Center immediately made it a central gathering place.

Seth’s Social Center isn’t just a shade structure – it also has a connected outdoor kitchen where our cooks and houseparents prepare meals for everyone living at the Touch A Life Care Center.

We know that as our children grow they will continue to make beautiful memories under the shade of this central pavilion, around the tiles of a stunning mosaic. Thank you to all of you who contributed and sacrificed to make this project a reality.
