We are beyond thrilled to announce that we have 24 students who have graduated from senior high school and who are applying to college—what a landmark occasion for Touch A Life! In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, our senior high school students have been hard at work studying and preparing applications for the Ghanaian college admissions process. It is such an exciting moment for them.
Recently, these students shared their career goals and dreams with us, and we wanted to share them with you! Here is an in-depth look at what three students want to study in college, as well as a comprehensive list of the subjects that the rest of the students in our program dream of earning advanced degrees in.
Gershon hopes to study economics at the University of Ghana. He has a great mind for math, and he’s hoping to use his critical thinking skills to learn more about the world of business, finance, and accounting.
Christiana has always had a passion for cooking (on breaks from school, you can find her helping out the cooks as they prepare meals for the children and staff), so it comes as no surprise that she is hoping to study nutrition at the University of Ghana. She is excited at the prospect of learning more about how food can nurture and heal.
Baba loves playing sports—soccer, basketball, sand volleyball, you name it—so he has channeled his passion into purpose with the hopes of studying Sports & Physical Culture at the University of Ghana. We think he would make a great coach, physical education teacher, or personal trainer!
